For Sale, Fokker Dr.I Project: Asking $16,500 This is a relatively new Airdromes Aeroplanes Fokker Dr.I (Full Scale) complete kit, with the 4130 welded fuselage. No engine or propeller, but everything else included. Included is kits 1-12. It is currently stored at Vernal, airport (KVEL). It can be picked up pretty easily with a trailer. Some modifications have been added to the rudder post (we fixed factory defects). The steel tube fuselage is a factory upgrade too. Buy it here for an instant project. If ordered from Airdrome, expect a 3-6 month wait time. Builder support at Airdrome Aeroplanes is good. The owner is always by his phone, but the instructions are not that good. I haven't had a lot of time lately, and am thus selling it. If I can't sell it, I will happily get to it, eventually. The best engine for this plane would be a Werner or Rotec Radial. There are a few places that can make a custom, affordable wooden propeller. I will include digitized instructions though, as well as printed plans for the empennage and tail that I manually enlarged. The build time on the website claims 400 hours owing to the aircraft's simplicity, but I think 1,200 hours is a more modest estimate. The first photo shows one of my friend's completed ones. The other photos show the kit for sale. Feel free to reach out via DM for any questions. |
