N859DC is equipped with Wipaire finlets, offering improved dock clearance and crosswind operations without sacrificing lateral stability. Aviat’s “new wing” features extended flaps and dynamically balanced ailerons for sportscar-like handling while enhancing the excellent short-field capabilities of the Husky, coupled with Micro Aerodynamics vortex generators for additional slow-speed controllability. IFR panel features an Aspen EFD1000 Pro, Garmin GNS 530W, S-Tec 20 autopilot w/ yaw damper, Garmin GTX 327 transponder, Garmin GMA 340 audio panel, VM1000 engine monitor, and uAvionix SkyBeacon ADS-B Out. A Garmin GDL 69A offers Sirius XM Weather + Radio (subscription required). N859DC’s interior is finished with black leather seating with teak & holly flooring and features rear seat heat w/ defrost. Optional Aviat heel cups are currently installed, offering additional comfort for taller pilots.
